Health and Safety
Talison Lithium is committed to improving the health and well-being of all its employees by introducing proactive initiatives to eliminate work related injuries and health impacts for its employees and families.
Individuals are encouraged to take responsibility for their own safety and accident prevention, and to identify potential hazards in the workplace. The Company believes that workplace safety, health and well-being should be the number one priority for every employee.
The overall safety aim is to ensure that each employee goes home with the same level of health that they came to work with. As well as traditional safety measures, Talison Lithium provides an integrated process to manage medical emergency response, hygiene monitoring, ergonomic assessment, fitness for work testing and return to work programmes for injured personnel.
Safety performance is continually measured to ensure improvement against planned and actual outcomes. As a measure of safety performance, Talison Lithium monitors defined lead and lag indicators to assess overall safety effectiveness and performance.
