Sustainable Development

Talison Lithium is committed to pursuing sustainable development in all aspects of its operations to ensure, wherever possible, that the company can meet demand for lithium products without compromising the needs of future generations.  This means that our investments in minerals projects are financially profitable, technically appropriate, environmentally sound and socially responsible.  Talison Lithium strives to meet these objectives in all its operations.

All of Talison Lithium's sustainability, environmental, safety and health policies and activities are monitored by the company's Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability committee.  The committee makes recommendations to the board where appropriate.  The committee also reviews Talison Lithium's monthly sustainability reports and ensures that community, environmental, health and safety risks and impacts are identified and sufficient resources are allocated to address these risks and impacts.

Talison Lithium is also working to support the goals of the ten sustainable development principles set out by the International Council on Mining and Minerals (ICMM).
